BelovedPawPrint began with one dog — and one goodbye.
Her name was Cherry.
She was my companion for fourteen years, growing up alongside me from childhood into adulthood. She witnessed my most vulnerable seasons and stood beside me with unwavering trust and unconditional love.
When she slowly grew older, I prepared myself for the inevitable. I stayed with her through her final moments and held her as she took her last breath.
Still, nothing prepared me for the silence that followed.
Like many pet parents navigating loss, I searched for something that could hold both her ashes and the love that remained.
That search led me to ceramic art.
From Grief to Handcrafted Creation
I began learning to sculpt by hand — carefully shaping Cherry from memory. Every curve, every expression, every detail of fur was painted slowly and intentionally.
I knew I was not recreating her.
What I was creating was a space for remembrance.
